Mind Sound: I'm Moving On
Hello,
After going back & forth on a title for this track, I decided to name it "I'm Moving On". The track speaks to a variety of situations that a person needs to move on from: non-value adding habits, certain people (in general), a memory or circumstance that is particularly troubling. We all have occurrences like this in our lives & this track speaks to a "cycle-breaking" formula. Lucius Black penned a chorus & II verses to the track that focuses on the relationship experience. I look forward to recording his version & further collaborations in the future! Check out his online presence:

This track utilizes some new sounds I picked up in a few audio packs. I'm very excited to have the new sounds & I'm looking to incorporate several more new additions in the tracks to come - enjoy!

Mind Sound: Come With Me
Hello,
This track is a little different from my current progression as it is more upbeat. At the time I was getting into the art of beat battles & I needed something upbeat, edgy, etc. This track features some of my favorite sounds - especially the toms (which was a beautiful struggle to complete). This isn't the first version of this track, as it recently underwent "renovations".

Glenn Hall E-Board Request
Hello,
I had to construct this from PowerPoint when one of my officers quit halfway during the year. It's really basic, but I had to act fast.

Mind Sound: I Can See It In Your Eyes
Hello,
The Foreign Exchange secretly inspired this track. Plus, my overall love for Jazz/Soul/R&B. It's no secret that I'm a HUGE fan & after seeing them in concert in Atlanta earlier this month - I'm an even BIGGER fan! Love that entire crew: Phonte, Nicolay, Yahzarah, Darien Brockington & Zo!
Like I stated in the corresponding post, it has been awhile since I've been in the 'studio', but I'm looking forward to growing my gift!

I Can See It In Your Eyes
Hello,
Just left the 'studio' with a brand new piece of work! It's been awhile since I've been in the studio & you may have know me as another pseudonym: J. Lawrence, but it's still me, just a little name change. Check me out here & let me know what you think - peace!

First Foray Into Graphic Design! (SGA Series Pt. III)
Hello,
This is the final round of the SGA series & I must admit - these turned out the best!
Unfortunately, we both were defeated as I lost by a margin of VII votes - yes, I still remember years later!

First Foray Into Graphic Design! (SGA Series Pt. II)
Hello,
Here are II designs that I constructed with PowerPoint. Looking back, I see that I've come a considerable distance!
Shortly afterward, we had a mini photo-shoot & after that - all subsequent flyers had pictures!

First Foray Into Graphic Design! (SGA Series Pt. I)
Hello,
Upon realizing that I wanted to run for 'public' office, I realized I needed a way to reach the masses - intro graphic design! Here is my (I believe) very first design!

Yes, relatively simple & slightly passé, but you can see the general direction I was headed.
I just didn't want to our first flyer to look as 'homemade' as this:

History of Music
Hello,
Music has ALWAYS been monumental in my life! From as early as I can remember I used to tap & beat on ANY & EVERYthing I could get me hands on! My mother can testify as I constantly annoyed her with my finger hitting, toe tapping behavior. In the 4th grade I played the Recorder & after failing to gain entrance into the choir, sneaked & played the Glockenspiel under the direction of my music/chorus teacher Mrs. Mitchell @ Bartow Elementary (Savannah, GA) – I loved her & that school! She didn’t originally select me to play the Glockenspiel, but as a determined young man, I was persisted & showed up to practice & eventually she didn’t know the difference, though I always suspected she knew the deal. Oh well, I enjoyed it & I was good to the Glockenspiel. In 5th grade, I began playing the trumpet, only to switch to Alto Saxophone within weeks. Apparently, I wasn’t ready to play a brass instrument…
I started producing music in middle school (7th grade I believe) with a Radio Shack keyboard, MIDI Orchestrator (software), an HP desktop, a few friends & inspiration from some producers I was listening to @ the time (Timbaland, Mannie Fresh, The Neptunes, Just Blaze, P. Diddy, Dark Child, just to name a few). We had this “record label” entitled NeverDie Entertainment (N.D.E.) & we would pretend we were actually running a label! It all seems trivial now, but back then, you couldn’t tell us otherwise! Even though I don’t communicate with my “labelmates” anymore, I do think of them from time to time whenever I produce a track. “Those were some interesting days” is a common sentence I utter as I reminisce about those days @ DeRenne Middle School (Savannah, GA).
After taking a hiatus from producing to focus on college, I was introduced to F.L. Studio or Fruity Loops by a few friends of mine in Glenn Hall @ GT (Atlanta, GA). From there, I was thrown into the world of solely computer based production, which is a realm I had never entire lived within. Some tactics were specifically withheld from me to sharpen my skills with my newfound friend – F.L. Studio. As time progressed, my style & sound came to fruition. Every now & again I still place myself in the Producer’s Chair & secrete the tunes floating between my ears.
